I love solving problems. I was never any good at physics, but loved algebra and chemistry. Both require a keen eye for balance to arrive at a solution. When I first built a website, it brought me back to those algebra days. There are many different ways to arrive at a solution, but the real art lies in how you get there.

MY WORK

Buffalo Bicycle Classic

WEBSITE+DATABASE

The BBC is one of the largest sources of scholarships at the University of Colorado. The original CMS they developed their site in was no longer supported, limiting their ability to update the site. The site was completely redesigned and the user experience simplified to aide the user in finding ride and registration information. A ride-day registration system was also built to simplify the process for both riders and staff.

Aragon Collection

WEBSITE

Shannon turned her passion into her business and needed a website to showcase her work to her friends and customers. A minimalist layout allows her work to come to the forefront and be the real attraction. She can also easily add and remove products on the site herself as they become available.

CWA Jazz Concert

WEBSITE+DATABASE

Due to the enormous popularity of the CWA's annual Tuesday evening jazz concert, a ticketing system was needed. The new system allows the general public to enter a random lottery and also allows CWA volunteers and donor to request and confirm tickets. A backend allows CWA staff to conduct a random lottery, assign seats and confirm ticket requests, saving countless hours and errors.

A pair of student leaders oversee the entire publicity and recruiting effort for the Conference on World Affairs. Having a homepage dedicated to breaking down the CWA for students has increased attendance and volunteer numbers. An SQL database has also allowed the student leaders to gather personal information and CWA week availability to save countless hours during the busiest time of year for them.

Simple Mind Studios

WEBSITE

Simple Mind Studios had a beautiful, sleek site, but it was done in flash years ago. They needed code work to get the site out of flash and built with plain old HTML and CSS. A site that once could only be viewed on flash-friendly devices can now be seen on any computer or device.

Borg Real Estate

WEBSITE+DATABASE

A small real estate company in Boulder, Borg needed a revamp of their site, along with a back end to give the staff the ability to add listings and rentals in just a few easy steps. What normally took days to get updated can now be done in seconds by the staff, with far more control of each listing than they had before.

Stalin's Barber

WEBSITE

A self-service website creator can be limiting. Paul needed a website that kept the theme from his award-winning cover art, which he would have had trouble doing with a do-it-yourself service. The amazing artwork from the novels cover has been incorporated into the design to create a website that flows seamlessly from the book.
